When someone runs from the police, lies to police, or interferes with an investigation, they are likely to get charged with obstruction of justice/ resisting arrest.  The elements that must be proven by the prosection are that the person knowinginly resists or obstructs an officer while the officer is doing an act in official capacity and with lawful authority.  If proven, the crime will result in convction of a class A misdemeanor (unless charged or amended to a civil ordinance violation). 

Obstructing generally means knowingly giving false information to the officer or knowingly placing physical evidence with intent to mislead the officer in the performance of his or her duty including the service of any summons or civil process.
